Bleeding for so long needs investigations. First, you will need a CBC to make sure you have not developed anemia due to prolonged bleeding.
Then you will need tests to rule out structural causes for the bleeding. A gynecological exam is needed and then possibly a pap smear, cervical secretions for chlamydia and gonorrhea and transvaginal ultrasound.
Only after the results of these tests and examinations, the doctor will be able to understand the cause of your bleeding and further management.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
