WhFamily member taking Carisoprodol (3 tabs per day - 1/2 tab every 4 hours) for PPS (Post Polio Syndrome). This medication is the ONLY medication that seems to help her. Was diagnosed with PPS last Summer. Pain can be from mild to severe, primarily on the left side of her body and NEVER goes away, but this Medication helps to control the pain in addition to one Tylenol with Codeine per day (as needed). She also has a severe sleep disorder (has had for over 2 years), Sleep Apnea (using a CPAP), hypertension (takes Metoporol), osteoarthritis, high cholesterol (allergic to statins) but eating fish - no red meat, taking fish oil; high levels of inflammation (using garlic and Tumeric) and various gastrointestinal issues including GERD - takes prescription Omaprezole. Recently has been experiencing irregular heartbeat especially while sleeping. So severe it will wake her up, causing nausea, some shortness of breath and bad taste in her mouth. Has been under a high-level of stress which has been increasing over the last several weeks.
