What Causes Irregular Heart Beats After Taking Metoprolol Tartrate?
metoprolol tartrate 25 mg tab was subscribed by my dr. I have an irregular heatbeat...it beats real fast then norgal and back to real fast. I also have a leaky valve-the main valve, which he said meds were the only thing that could be done. Is this correct?

You have to get serial ECG recordings to rule out possible causes like cardiac arrhythmia.
