What Causes Irregular Heart Beats?

I was taking a 25 mg of ateneol cut in half and took one half in the morning and the other half at night, they changed me to metoprolol tartrate 25 mg 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet at night. Is this going to be the same dosage as i am afraid my blood pressure will drop if it is to large of a dose. My current bllod pressure has been normal, I have a irregular heart beat .

The dose of metoprolol you are receiving is the minimum starting dose in most individuals. However its good to take your B.P readings for 1st week and if any reading below normal is recorded persistently then the dosage needs to be reviewed.
Hope it helped you. Have a good day.
