General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Furocyst is not an alternative drug to metformin. In case of insulin resistance, Metformin should be continued. Pelvic ultrasound may be required to detect the presence of ovarian cyst. Your body may take time to respond to a new drug. You can wait for next cycle to look for any progress. Hormonal pills may be required to regularize your daughter's menstrual cycle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
