What Causes Irregular Menstrual Cycle After Taking Furocyst?
My daughter detected IRS and was taking metformin, later I switch her over to furocyst since 2 months (age-16),she has taken medicine for the 1st month regularly and have timely men s cycle,in 2nd month by some reason she has lost the regularity and mens not occurred, now she continues with strict following, will the mens normalise again, her tsh is normal,pl guide
Furocyst is not an alternative drug to metformin. In case of insulin resistance, Metformin should be continued. Pelvic ultrasound may be required to detect the presence of ovarian cyst. Your body may take time to respond to a new drug. You can wait for next cycle to look for any progress. Hormonal pills may be required to regularize your daughter's menstrual cycle.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
