What Causes Irregular Menstruation After An Abortion?
I have not had a regular period in one month and this will be my second in August .. .. I had an abortion done in November but my period came back normal .. I m not sure if it s because I have a yeast infection which I was treated with several medication and it hasn t gone fully .. I m alittle concern since I was always regular .
You have a history of having regular periods before abortion. After abortion you are not menstruating regularly, it is because you might be anemic, you are not ovulating regularly, infection in the uterus or hormonal imbalance, etc.
You are suggested to visit ER, get examined physically. get evaluated, get treated at the earliest.
Your treating doctor may suggest D&C or may treat with medicines. In the meantime take calcium & iron rich food. Take protein & avoid addictions if any.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
