Bleeding continued for 20 days and stopped after taking regestoran tablets on advice from gynec as doctor finding of possibility of hormon inbalace. But heavy bleading started on 4/10 which npt subside after the administration of ttapic tablet. My ultra sound scan and thyroid function test are nomal. What could be the reason for this abnormality
Hormone imbalances might be the cause for irregular menstruation and vaginal bleeding. On the other hand proper examination needs to be done to rule out endometrial thickness (thick inner layer of the womb). You mention you have had an ultrasound. Transvaginal ultrasound is the best method to evaluate for endometrail thickness so if you have not had one you will need to have it done. If hemorrage repeats then you might need to do a D&C, which consists on scraping of the inner layer of the womb and sending some of the material for biopsy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
