What Causes Irregular Menstruation And Vaginal Discharge?

I have a very irregular periods last period being May of 2014. On June 7th I experienced vaginal discharge when I wiped which was mucusy and had a string of blood and that was it. On July 12th I went to the restroom wiped and there was brownish red discharge only when I wiped which then went away. On July 14th the same thing happened so on July 15th I took a Home pregnancy test which came back with a very faint positive line. I then took another test on the 16th which came back negative. Last night 7/19 I was sitting on the couch and experienced a pain on my right side ovary area it felt like a pulling pain. It hurt to where I had to lay down and it went away. Today I have the discomfort again same side what could it be?

According to this history mentioned in the query , such symptoms may be due to these possibilities , these include:
1 Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease ( PCOD or PCOS i.e. syndrome ) , as this is most common cause of such irregular cycle . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of both ovaries with emphasis on right side ovary , where you are complaining pain.
2 Hormonal imbalance , get in blood examination for estrogen, androgen, progesterone level on different stages .
3 Fibroid in uterus as this is also most common cause . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of uterus .
