What Causes Irregular Menstruation When Diagnosed With PCOS?
hello i am 27 years old i am facing problem after my c section in 2014 regarding my periods .in 2016 april i was diagnosed with pcos i was prescribed ginette 35 for 4 months but i m still having very scanty bleeding just like a droplet please help me asap along with that this month mine periods were also delayed by 12 days any help
PCOS is one of the causes of delayed or irregular periods and ginette is one of the commonly prescribed medications for this condition.
Other aspects of treatment of PCOS include : (1) lifestyle changes which would cause weight loss of any excess weight. This is an important part of treatment and weight loss can cause an improvement in periods
(2)metformin- this medication is most commonly used in diabetics and prediabetics (persons headed to diabetes) but it also have been found to be very useful in PCOS. PCOS is associated with resistance to insulin (the body does not respond to its own insulin) and metformin decreases this insulin resistance and causes the periods to normalize.
I hope this helps
