General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCm.
I understand your concern.
Folic acid is a water soluble vitamin. It is given to correct anaemia and it helps to keep the ovarian tissues to function optimally.
Its intake is not known to be associated with causing irregular menstruation.
Menstrual cycles happening 3 to 5 days later than 28 days is considered as normal. Hence, you need not be worried about it as stress ins also known to cause delay in periods.
Relax for now and take the medications as recommended. Do the follow-up as advised.
Hop the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
