Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
Irregular periods are usual with PCOD and having
hormonal therapy will help having regular ones, at least during the time you get the treatment.
I do not know what medications you have been taking as
homeopathy and am not sure of the effect it should have but is is obvious it did not help.
1.
Deviry is a medication that is used for PCOS and is generally effective.
I would follow the recommendations of your gynae doctor and take the prescription.
2. Another alternative is combined oral
contraception pill which can also be taken for a few months
3. If the medication is not effective than I would say you need to have a
vaginal ultrasound to make sure the
uterus is normal and no other anatomical or physical problems (masses) are seen.
4. Many times taking the hormonal therapy (Deviry or combined oral contraception) helps have regular periods but as soon as you stop them you might get irregular periods again
5. If your periods are not very often and not heavy I would suggest not to take medications at all as they do not cure but help while you take them.
I hope this answers to your questions and is helpful to you
Best regards,
