50 yo, had hot flashes and last cycle 8 mos ago. had a cycle last month and another started 14 days ago. very heavy, cramping etc. over the past 7 days it has stopped, then started again. have never had a 14 day cycle , especially with continued cramping. should I be worried or is it normal for menopause?

Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. If endometrial thickness is more than 4 mm, you may need an endometrial biopsy to rule out any endometrial pathology. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out any cervical pathology. Hope it helps.
