General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It would help if I could know what your age is. However, there are a couple of conditions that can cause this. Polycystic ovarian syndrome, pregnancy, endometriosis are some of them. If your iron is low, the doctor can start you on some iron supplements to make sure that is taken care of. Have you had irregular menstruation throughout?

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
