My periods tend to be irregular and change all the time by being late serval days. But this time I am a week late. I have been cramps and I don t have any pregnant symptoms. Also I have been working out a lot lately, About 2 hours a day and only eating low carbs. Plus I ve been taking calcium and hair skin and nails pills. Can this delay my period?
Hello and thank you for your question. There are o lot of conditions that cause menstrual irregularities such as:hormonal imbalances, infections, diseases, trauma and certan medications. In your case ,I think that eating disordes have an influence on menstrual irregularities,so you can try to improve the way you eat,try to sleep well and keep away stress.I would advice you to have a physical examination, blood tests, ultrasound examination, hysteroscopy etc.Anyway,I would advice you to consult your doctor and begin a treatment with oral contraceptives. Best regards!
