What Causes Irregular Periods Along With Pink Vaginal Spotting?
Hello, I have a set your clocks by it regular 28 day menstrual cycle but have missed the last 2 periods. I am in a bit of discomfort in my hip & lower abdomen. I had tubal ligation 10 years ago, am 44yo & 2 pregnancy tests were negative. I am also starting to get pink discharge. Hoping it is just a glitch but am still concerned. Thanks for any advice

At age 44, it is possible that you are peri menopausal. This is the time frame before menopause and it can lasts from weeks to years.
During this time, changes occur including changes to the menstrual cycle including altered period frequency.
Other causes of irregular periods are: (1) polycystic ovarian syndrome
(2) emotional stress or illness
(3)high levels of prolactin
(4)physical illness
(5)abnormal thyroid hormone levels
