What Causes Irregular Periods And Abdominal Discomfort?

I am a 27 year old women who has two children naturally birthed. I have had a tubal ligation almost 3 years ago, but since the procedure have experience several abdominal pain. I have discovered I have ovarian cysts and have been reassured everything I am going through is normal. I find that hard to believe and am seeking advice. Should I travel outside my area and seek a second opinion? I have irregular periods now, severe abdominal discomfort, and I am finding intercourse to be very uncomfortable.

Hi,

Well, ovarian cysts are not normal but they always give abdominal pain and irregular periods. That's a reason to have them treated and metformin or weight loss often fixes them. Cannot say in your particular case if that is the only thing going on, and it is associated with those symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
