What Causes Irregular Periods And Brown/pink Discharge?
Hi,I have pale brownish -pink discharge 5days before period(oct 20) first it was brown then turned pink and lasted for 3 days.i havent got my periods and 10days after my period date i.e on oct 30 i spotted light pink discharge.sep 20 i got my first period after my delivery.i used to have PCOS before pregnancy.
After delivery it will take some time for the regularization of menstrual cycles, especially if you are breast feeding the baby you can see fluctuations in the menstrual flow pattern. Sometimes premenstrual spotting can be seen due to the premenstrual fluctuation of reproductive hormones and also during ovulation also some amount of spotting can be seen due to drop in the estrogen levels during ovulation. It may take few more months for regularization of your menstrual cycles. Regular balance diet, regular physical exercise and maintaining the normal body mass index will help in regularization of menstrual cycles.
If the menstrual irregularity and inter-menstrual spotting persists even 6 months after the onset of periods after delivery, you may need to get evaluated. By doing the ultrasound the persistence of PCOD can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly.
