What Causes Irregular Periods And Itching Sensation In Vagina?
Last week I got my period and I was supposed to still have it on Saturday but my family and I were going boating on Saturday and I took ibuprofen and drunk a lot of water to stop bleeding and Saturday morning it stopped then at night I started bleeding again. Then yesterday I stopped again. My vagina has been red and itchy at night but during the day I m okay. I don t know if it s maybe the underwear or if I m allergic to the pads I use or if it s an infection? I m only 14 and I haven t had sex so I m not pregnant.
* As per my clinical experience, the irregular periods with itching sensation in vagina does indicate possible infection issue.
* The infection might be from bacteria or fungi as candida or others. My guidelines for better recovery
- continue to drink more liquids
- cranberry sachet or pills
- wear loose, clean, cotton inner wear
- anti histamine as cetrizine for itching
- prescription of anti fungal as fluconazole, anti biotics as metronidazole, miconazole cream for local application.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
