Hello and welcome to HCM,
Before answering your query I would like to give you some information regarding conception and
pregnancy.
Conception occurs of sperm meets ovum during ovulation.
Ovulation occurs 14 days before onset of
menstruation. This period remains constant irrespective of length of cycle.
Irregular periods are common in healthy menstruating females.
In case conception takes place, it is followed after approximately six days by
implantation.
Implantation is characterised by implantation of fertilized ovum in the uterine wall and is accompanied by light spotting and bleeding.
The pregnancy test becomes positive 10-14 days after conception and remains positive for 90-100 days thereafter,
pregnancy can be first detected in urine pregnancy test.
You can get a pregnancy test.
If the pregnancy test is negative then you need to consult your gynecologist to find the cause of irregular periods.
Hormonal imbalance is the most common cause of irregular bleeding and it is treated with hormonal therapy.
Thanks and take care
