What Causes Irregular Periods While On Sprintec Birth Control Pills?

I have been on sprintec 28 birth control since November 2013. In august I started to take in irregularly and in September I had 2 periods and since September I have had none. I have taken pregnant tests and they are negative. Wondering what could be wrong?

Hi

The irregularity in your birth control pills consumption could have resulted in some amount of hormone imbalance causing the irregularity in your menstraul cycle as well.

I would recommend complete discontinuation of your birth control pills and adopting an alternate contraceptive method until you can speak to your doctor and also initiate medications that can help regularize your cycle, but these will have to be taken religiously.
