Is there some issue that I need to see doctor?
Fluoxetine consumption leads to increased incidence of menstrual irregularity. The incidence increases with increasing dosage of the drug. There may be other causes of menstrual irregularities and heavy bleeding like: 1) Endometriosis 2) Uterine polyps 3) Adenomyosis 4) Dysfunctional uterine bleeding 5) PCOS 6) Uterine or pelvic tumors
You need to consult a gynecologist for detailed clinical examination and appropriate treatment after necessary testing. please do not stop Fludac all of a sudden it must be slowly tapered. Inform your psychiatrist about the adverse effect.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
