What Causes Irregular Periods While Trying To Conceive?
Me and my husband been trying to get pregnant for about a month now. Last month I ended up having two periods, the first one was like normal and the second one was a little abnormal for my periods, and the periods was 15 days apart. Now which seems like a period started today and it s really abnormal and light. What should I do?
Irregular periods might happen due to stress and especially when you are trying to conceive it is more likely to happen.
I would recommend you to repeat the pregnancy test to make sure if you are pregnant and also have a visit with your doctor to see that there is not any other reason you are bleeding. A pap smear might be advisable and also a transvaginal ultrasound.
If all comes out normal, I would just recommend you to relax. If the periods do not get regular in 3 months you may try oral contraception for 3 months to help periods get regular (you will not be able to conceive during this time) and then try to conceive.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
