What Causes Irregular Periods With Prolonged Bleeding During Menopause?

Hi, I m 57 years old, in July 1914, I stop my menstruation, and on December 18,2014, I start menstruation again, very strong, I went to women center, where I was seen by NP, she gave me NORETHINDRONE 5 MG. The bleeding stop little bit, but it is still going and my abdominal start hurting, what should I do ???

Hello, Welcome to HCM.
I understand your problem.
You are suffering from post menopausal bleeding. There are several causes for this, commonest being dysfunctional uterine bleeding, genital malignancy, atrophy of endometrium & senile endometritis.
It is not advisable to ignore this as malignancy being one of the possibility. You should undergo pelvic examination along with tests like pelvic ultrasound & endometrial biopsy.
I advise you to visit a gynecologist for further management.
