Hi, i m breastfeeding my little 2month old baby....and my periods are irregular...after 40days of delivery ..my periods came and after 7 days its stops but after 5 days again start periods ...so i go to doc and she give me duphaston 10mg ...taking 2 pills 15 days....and my doctor says to me it is save for breastfeeding.....but i m still worried ..plz tell me it is save during breastfeeding.....????
Hi, I think duphaston is safe to take in breastfeeding. Irregular periods can be due to breastfeeding the baby, because breastfeeding interferes with the hormone level in the body. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. You can take duphaston also. It is a progesterone and it doesn't affect the breast milk. Hope it helps.
