Hello,

You are sexually active but did not mention if you are on regular CP or any other contraceptive method. Since you are only 15 yrs of age and sexually active, you should be on regular CP to prevent pregnancy. Contraceptive pills protect you from pregnancy but not from sexually transmitted diseases. Always use condoms and avoid multiple partners. Irregular periods are commonly due to hormonal imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, stress, hormone containing IUD, etc.

Other medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are being overweight, underweight, anemia, poor general health condition, excessive exercise, elevated level of prolactin, PCOS, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined. Get routine blood tests, CBC, Urinalysis, Imaging tests done to detect the factor causing you symptoms so that it can be treated at the earliest.

Take food rich in iron, calcium, magnesium and food high protein. You are suggested to loose weight if obese. Do regular exercise. In case you do not get periods, get a pregnancy test done. You will be managed accordingly. Stay away from addictions if any, do not stress, Take quality sleep at night.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
