What Causes Irregular Periods,bloating Of Stomach And Back Pain?

I recently had an irregular period, I had all the normal signs like bloating, back pains n cravings and they all started when they normally would every month. However I hardly bled when I am usually quite heavy. This is the 1st time this has happened and I ve Benny s on the same pill for at round 6 years. I was worried so waited a few days after any bleeding had stopped and took a pregnancy test which came out negative is it worth doing another in a few days or booking to see a Docter? I have no other symptoms and haven t gained any weight but just want to know for deffinate?

Hello,

You are suffering from irregular periods, bloating of stomach and back ache. You had an irregular period, you are on pill since 6yrs. You hardly bled and your pregnancy test is negative. Since you are on pill and you are taking it regularly as instructed without fault then you may not be pregnant. Sometimes, such symptoms occur due to hormonal imbalance, PID, PCOS, anemia, general body weakness, thyroid dysfunction, etc.

You are suggested to wait for a couple of days, if you have early symptoms of pregnancy then get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get per vaginal examination done to detect bulky uterus. Get all required blood and imaging tests done to detect pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, and any other medical condition that may be causing the symptoms. Your treatment and management will depend on the diagnosis made.
