Hello, I can understand your concern. There could be more than one reasons that can cause prolonged vaginal bleeding including polycystic ovaries, hormonal imbalance, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis where uterine lining like tissue is found outside uterus that bleeds, infection in the uterus/ovaries, thyroid disorder, menopause etc. If you have been through only biopsy for the investigation of the disorder, it may not suffice to diagnose other possible reasons. You should go for blood tests to determine level of sex and thyroid hormones in you blood and sonogram for examination of soft tissues and organs.
