What Causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome In A Child?

My 5 and a half year old boy has had the Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms for the past 10 days, for the second time ever in his life. The first time he had these symptoms was 2-3 months ago and they only lasted for a few hours, so we barely took notice at the time. Now we are seriously concerned. What are the best tests to be certain around the causes of these symptoms? We d rather do as much investigation as possible so as not to leave any room to doubt. Thank you

I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned what kind of symptoms the boy got, because IBS is not possible in this age, it is not likely, you have not mentioned any symptoms here else some advice could be given hope this information helps.
