What Causes Irritated Skin Inside The Lip After An Oral Sex?

I got a cold sore last thursday and have been treating it with lysine supplements and zovirax cream, this monday i kissed my boyfriend, and this tuesday i kissed my boyfriend as well as both of us receiving oral sex. I warned him about my cold sore but didn t think of the danger of getting genital herpes myself from kissing him. So I would like to know the likelihood of my partner or myself getting genital herpes from the encounter. My cold sore never went into a weeping or open sore stage, it was a pimple sized red bump (but with the little white bumps inside my lip and pain that indicate a cold sore), and now it is much smaller, no bumps inside my lip, still a little uncomfortable from time to time, but is just a bit of irritated skin instead of a scab, open sore, or big lump.
