What Causes Irritation And Anxiety Post Complete Hysterectomy?
I m 14 years out from my complete hysterectomy. I refused hormone therapy. I did go through menopause after. Now all of a sudden I m very irritable and also am experiencing anxiety more frequently even though there isn t really any major problems in my life. I am also crying too often and feel nervous. Could I be experiencing menopause again? I m 59. Thank you
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Yes, this is due to menopause as you have crossed 53; average time of menopause in developed countries. Harmonal assay for FSH and LRH will settle the issue(it will be high). I would advise you to start taking anxiolytic like alprazolam at bed time and antidepressant like escitalopram in the morning for 2-3 months, your all worries will be resolved. Do regular aerobic excersize thirty minute a day five times a week. Also do mantle relaxation excersize like Yoga and Meditation. keep yourself busy in some activities. Hope it helps best.
