What Causes Irritation And Discharge With Positive Pus Cells?

Doctor please help to find out what is wrong with me because apparently l had an irritation and discharge. when l took a test of all STDS, they Only found positive pus cells.The report read pus cells seen(+++) What could be the causes of the pus ?

Thank you for query.the presence of abundant pus cells indicate Infection may be due to STDs.Urethritis or UTI depending on the site or sample taken.It is more likely Bacterial infection gonococcal or non gonococcal.You may need a course of antibiotic like Azithromycin 500mg twice daily for 5- 7 days.drink plenty of water and fluids.treat the partner also with the antibiotics course simultaneously otherwise there are chances of recurrence.avoid intercourse until symptoms subside totally.Use protective like condoms.You can go for other STDs tests if not done.You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist.
