What Causes Irritation And Pain In Eye?

I stepped outside after being in most of the day and my right eye started to sting. Once I got into the car it started to water and turn really red. Now, the whites of my eyes are swollen severely and have a jelly-like sack inside of the thin layer. It s not itchy but it s irritated because it is slightly painful and hard to close my eye. Please help! PS: I live in South Carolina and there is a lot of pollen!

Hi,
It seems that there might be having allergic conjunctivitis due to some external allergen like pollen or some thing fallen in your eye.
Apply ice pack for 2-3 days.
Take antihistamine like Cetrizine or Benadryl for 2-3 days.
Put some anti allergic eye drops.
Ok and take care.
