Hello mam, I want to know about my mother, actually she has been suffering from breast pain for 1 week almost, feeling irritation too in the front( nipple ) part of them and mainly in left side. So, mam please do reply to this. I will be very thankful to you.
Irritation, sore nipple or cracked nipple can occur due to infection, dryness ,wearing ill fitting undergarments, excess friction.Rarely any tumour can also present with such symptoms.Any history of nipple discharge should be ruled out.
Regular application of moisturiser and keeping the area clean will reduce the infection.Frequent self examination of the breast for any lumps should be done. I would also suggest your mother to visit a gynaecologist for a mammogram and a clinical examination.Biopsy should be done when any lump has been identified by examination.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
