What Causes Irritation And Red Bumps On The Penis?

When having sex with my wife, upon ejaculation my penis gets irritated.  Several red bumps appear in the same place and I have a couple of small patches on the ridge of the head of my penis which start to burn slightly.  the next day these bumps are not as irritated, and they get dry and scaly.  The scaly skin seems to wear off and the irritation goes away until we have intercourse again

Hi,

As per my clinical experience, this is balanitis induced by sexual intercourse through bacterial or fungal infection. The issue requires treatment of both partners with:
- Work up with lab tests of STD
- Broad spectrum antibiotic coverage
- Anti-fungal medicines
- Local care with sitz bath of gentian violet
- Steroid creams as per the clinical need
- Absolute abstinence till complete recovery of genital lesions
- Hydration with plenty of liquids
- Control of blood sugar
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
