What Causes Irritation At The Back Of Throat While On Sefton?
2 weeks ago I seeing a doctor it was diagnosed with an acute sinus infection and was given a 10 day course Sefton 500 milligrams twice a day for 10 days it got me well but in the past two days I m noticing a tiny bit of irritation in the back of my throat and I ve seen little yellow bump just one then gargling with a salt solution and using a neti pot and nasacort spray should I see my doctor or just forget about it and wait for my immune system to kick in

As per my clinical experience, the irritation on the back of throat with yellow bump indicate tonsillitis or pharyngitis most likely secondary to upper respiratory sinus infection. The usual causes are Staph aureus, Moraxella or Hemophilus influenze B bugs.
As you are on precise antibiotic therapy, additional guidelines to get well soon are as:
- Drink more liquids including boiled water, lemon juice, coconut water
- Prefer easily chew-able food stuffs (fresh home made ones)
- Avoid smoking, alcohol if consuming
- Addition of anti-inflammatory medicine as diclofenac, protelytic enzymes as serratiopeptidase
