What Causes Irritation On Top Of The Mouth?

I used Dr. Tichenor's mouth wash and have used it many times before with no problem. This time I kept it in my mouth to long or did not dilute properly and it has really irritated the top of my mouth. What can I do to enhance the healing. It is difficult for me to eat unless it is really soft food. HELP PLEASE

Hello,

It looks like chemical burns on the roof of mouth caused with concentrated solution of mouthwash. It is causing inflammation that is leading to pain. So my suggestion is to start gargling with numbing mouth wash containing Lignocaine as it will help in reducing pain. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.

Sucking ice and doing cool water rinses can also help by reducing inflammation. Take vitamin B complex supplement. Avoid spicy and hard foods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
