What Causes Irritation, Swelling And Brown Dark Spots On Hand Despite Using Hydrocortisone?

i m sarah i was using detol handwash for more den a month now it made my hands dry i m feelng my hands reddish irritation swelling.iching and alergic brown darkspots what can i do now i m using hydrocortisone cream but it is not working plz help me...

Hi.

Using steroids is not okay, and especially not while self-prescribing. First of all, use any anti-histamine you have at your disposal or that you can get your hands on. Next, start using a much more mild hand soap along with a very good moisturizing cream. Meet a dermatologist for more details on the situation as I cannot comment on it without a visual examination.
