What Causes Itchiness And Redness On Stomach After Undergoing Umbilical Cord Hernia?

my husband had an umbical cord hernia operation a the start of March, he has gone back to work now but has had an itch and redness around his belly button and an itch at other parts of his body, as soon as he goes in a hot shower it flares up, this has been for weeks now, he has had antibiotics and cream but it still persist, he had no problem like this before the operation, can you help??

See as your history suggests it is mostly due to some sort of fungal infection and that is why it flares up after taking bath with warm water. It has no concern with the operation so you need not to think much. For infection you have to take some antibiotic as suggested by your doctor along with tab evil or tab cetrizine 8-12 hourly for itching. You can also use clop-g or neomycin cream for local application as it is quite helpful in your case.
