What Causes Itchiness And Swelling In The Fingers During 9 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Hi, My wife is 9 weeks pregnant. She is presently taking CLEXANE, as conception was through IUI. My wife has a history of allergy, and was taking Avil 25. After a few times taking CLEXANE, she started having allergic reactions on her fingers, causing them to itch and swell up. Her gyno. has advised to take Montek-10. On searching online, I could not find any definitive information, as to whether it was safe during pregnancy. Would be much obliged if anyone could provide some directions.
