Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My scalp and face are itchy and sandy grains tend to be felt. My face has some hard skin areas that itch so bad. I also have a lot of oil on my face. When I was red blotches appear in large quantities but they go after a while. I have tried moisturiser creams and prescription creams that have not worked.
I would suggest you to give cold compresses to itchy area several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl.
If symptoms still persist the consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream , anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
