What Causes Itchiness In The Hand And Chest Pain?

this morning around 4 am woke up with the palms of my hands itching bad. it spread to my legs and middle torso. i began to have a lot of welts like hives . then my chest hurt like my esoughaus was spasming and top of stomache. then i begin to notice that my lips were getting numb and my tongue was getting bigger and numb. went to hospital they couldnt find nothing wrong accept saying that i had a allergic reaction to something but didnt know what it could be

I can understand your concern. Sometimes it is possible that you come in contact with an allergen without your knowledge that can cause severe allergic reaction. It could be just an insect bite during your sleep that you do not know about. The reaction this severe is called Anaphylactic Reaction. I appreciate your decision of reaching to emergency room as it is very crucual to get immediate care in such situations to control the reaction and save life.

However, as the allergic reaction was too severe, it is better to know the allergen so that you can take care from it in future. You can go for a blood test for allergy testing to know what substances you are allergic to.
