What Causes Itchiness In The Scalp After Taking Metoprolol?
Since I have started taking Metoprolol my scalp itches intensely. It keeps me awake at night. The dermatologist can find no reason for my itching and said that it is common with beta blockers but my cardiologist refuses to switch my medicine and says that its not causing the problem.

Most possible cause is the drug allergy.
It is not common but in few cases it may occur. I would suggest you to take cetrizine at bed time. You'll feel better I'm sure.
