Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Itching Along With Burning And Twitching Sensation In The Legs?
I have had muscle twitching in my legs, but now the twitching is constant. I have burning and itching and feels like needles in my legs, feet and arms. It comes and goes. It is with me most of the day, every day. I am worried that this could be something serious. I have an appointment with the University of Florida in July, but my current Neurologist is not telling anything.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Usually, neurological pains doesn't come like the way you are explaining, so it won't be sciatica. Now, you are telling that it could be arthritic.
You can probably get MRI knee done to know if there are any joint erosions and also if you are so much concerned, you can get nerve conduction study done to rule out peripheral neuropathy. Please get back to us with reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
