What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation Behind The Knees?
The other day, i was outside and all of a sudden i felt an itching and a slight burning sensation in the back of my knee. I started scratching and then i felt a big lump. I went inside and pulled down my pants to check what was happeing; a big black circle with the lump in the middle was formed. It hurt if i touched for a few hours. N the morning the lump and hurt disappeared, but the big black circle was there and stillthere today. What could have bit me and what should I have done?

It is possible that the lump, discomfort and discoloration may be due to rupture of varicose veins in the area. This would cause the symptoms mentioned.
