What Causes Itching And Discomfort In Anal Region?

I just had one tablet of Norflox tz ,Just onebecause i was having slight uncomfortable motion feeling and wld go and sit and try stools, , after some time i am feeling itching.I just had only one tablet thats all.Since I am diabetic I was getting worried, what should I do? I took one full glass of milk Please advice. My age is 71 years.

Thanks for your query at HCM.


You are having itching in perianal area. Mostly such itching is related to parasitic infection like enterobius vermicularis. I suggest you need to take antihelminthics like albendazole 400 mg once and repeat after 2 weeks after your doctors prescription. You can also get stool routine microscopy examination done. Do not take any medication on your own as it could be risky not even norflox as you took. If symptoms persists you can get evaluation done by local physician and take tests.
