Hi,
Although the definitive diagnosis can be made through proper physical examination and microscopic test of the discharge only I will suggest the following treatment:
• Tablet Ciplox-TZ
• Tablet Azostat Kit (
Fluconazole +
Tinidazole) to you
and your boyfriend
•
Candid V gel for local application to male partner
• Candid-CL Pessary
• 1% Soda bicarbonate or Wokadine douche
Along with the above-mentioned treatment drugs, do take care of the below measures:
• Avoid scented pads or toilet papers, creams, bubble baths and feminine sprays.
• Try not to use soap too frequently to wash the vaginal area. Doing so can increase dryness and disturb the natural pH balance.
• Always wipe from front to back after having a bowel movement.
• Wear cotton panties (no synthetic fabrics) and change your underwear every day.
• Try to use condoms during sexual intercourse to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
• If you are experiencing
vaginal dryness, use a vaginal moisturizer. Apply a water-based lubricant (K-Y,
Astroglide) before having sex.
• Avoid sexual intercourse until your symptoms improve.
• Don't scratch -- you can further irritate the area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Maninder,
General & Family Physician
