General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Itching/pain in the vagina for a 3 year old grand daughter could be due to 3 main issues:
- Acidic urine (very concentrated urine as she might not be drinking enough fluids)
- Vaginal thrush
- Intestinal parasites

Get her some diagnostic tests done:
- Urine analysis
- Stool examination for ova/parasites

Discuss this further with her caring pediatrician.
Advise to take oral probiotics to stabilize intestinal and vaginal flora.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
