What Causes Itching And Swelling In The Vagina?

Hi I m unsure what s going on but I had slight itching for 2 days, no foul odor or discharge. I used monistat 1 last night I woke up with a extremely itchy and swollen vagina. The cream came out from last night and it was white and a little brown.. now I m having clear slimy discharge with itching, should I go see a doctor? Do I have a yeast infection?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it is due to fungal infections. As of now you can consult a gynecologist and get a vaginal swab done to look for any possible infections like vaginosis or yeast. As of now apply Clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals. If symptoms persist, better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
