What Causes Itching And White Discharge In The Vagina After Intercourse?

Hi, I had vaginal itching, soreness and cheesy white discharge 2months back. I checked with a doctor and she said I have multiple vaginal infection. She prescribed me with 5 days of clingen forte suppository and azithromycin kit which contained 4 tablets to be taken orally in 3 days. Same kit was adviced for my partner. She also did pap smear which was normal. I didnt ask my partner to take aziyhromycin kit as I was reluctant on telling him.My symtoms cleared off on in 5 days and I resumed sex after 8 days. After approx 25 days, I felt itchiness again in my vaginal but no prominent discharge. I took clingen forte for about 4 days my self and took azithromycin only from the kit. After 4 days symptoms were gone. Then I had sex after 21 days with my partner and started feeling itching in my vagina.what infection I am contracting from my partner? What should I do?

Looking at your description I would advise you to ask your partner to take the course of antibiotics.

white cheesy discharge might be related to candidial infection or bacterial vaginosis at times.

You shouldn't take antibiotics on your own without consulting your doctor.

In my opinion you and your partner should go for investigation like urine culture for both and vaginal swab culture for you along with urine culture and sensitivity test to find out the underlying causative organism.

Meanwhile use condom during sex, maintain good hygiene, wash your private parts immediately after sex with antiseptic soap or solution and keep it clean and moist.
