Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an itchy raised mole removed and biopsied by a dermatologist. The result came back non-cancerous, but the area where the mole was removed is still itching intensely. The skin looks healed but is still pinkish after about two months. Could the doctor have left some roots in there?

What Causes Itching Around A Mole Removal Area?
Hi, It might be due to mild skin irritation and allergic reaction. As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
